The adaptive reuse/conversion of an original 19th century stables ,more recently used as a car repair yard occupies the whole site of just 78m2. With a site restricted by size and the immediate buildings built to the boundary.The only opportunity for open space was as a roof terrace on the third floor. The street façade with its stable doors was restored with a completely new building built behind the street front. Light and ventilation was drawn down thru open steel mesh stair with the main bedroom on the roof terrace, living dining and kitchen open plan on level 2 and on ground a guest room car space and bathroom.
