Sited on 3 blocks of land overlooking the upper reaches of Sydney Harbour this project involved extensive alterations and additions to a 1970’s house including tennis court, swimming pool and extensive gardens. The original house was completely guttered and re planned to maximise views of Middle Harbour through mature angophora trees. New roof gardens and decks were added to take advantage of the aspect and views. Portions of floors were removed to create double height spaces and internal stairs were reconfigured to improve the flow of space. Internally, Caroline Casey furnished the interior with a mix of iconic contemporary furniture, lighting and her own custom designed brass stair screen and rugs.
